Tragedy strikes Indian family in Oman

Dubai: An Indian man and his daughter were today killed in a road accident in Oman, while the man's wife was later found dead in an apartment, a media report said.

The accident took place this morning when the car they were travelling in collided with a tanker.

"We visited the mortuary. We saw the bodies of father and daughter. We were trying to get in touch with mother over phone. But it was switched off. And later on, we came to know that she was found dead in the apartment," sources were quoted as saying by the Times of Oman. The family hailed from Tamil Nadu.

"The father was working with Sohar Steel and mother was working with L&T," sources said. The daughter was a Class IV student of Indian School Sohar.
