The global league where former cricketers, legends of the game, will be playing competitive cricket is looking at emerging as a global professional league, where the legends can relive old rivalries on the field. With Oman as the host nation, the league shall well and truly start its journey on a global platform.
Hosts Oman will be wary of the wounded Bangladesh pride, despite the co-hosts riding high after a 10-wicket win against Papua New Guinea (PNG). They have also given Sri Lanka the jitters in the warm-up games, and will be hoping to use all their knowledge of the game and the home ground to put it past Bangladesh.
Chasing 130, Oman got off to a good start as opening batters Jatinder Singh and Aqib Ilyas put on 46 runs inside the first six overs. Both batters continued with their momentum and at the halfway mark, Oman's score read 88/0. In the end, PNG was not able to take any wickets and Oman cruised to a ten-wicket win with 38 balls to spare.
