Jodhpur, Oct 27: A witness in the poaching case
against actor Salman Khan told a court hearing the case that
he saw air gun bullets and hair of black buck in a vehicle
allegedly used by the Bollywood star.

Mahendra Vyas told Chief Magistrate Narsingh Das that he
had gone to meet Assistant Forest Ranger Lalit Bora in his
office on October 12, 1998. There he came to know that Bora
had gone to a nearby coal depot and followed him there.

When he reached the coal depot, he saw Bora was examining
a Maruti Gypsy.

Out of curiosity, he looked at the vehicle and saw five
to six air gun bullets and a cluster of black buck hair in it.

These were sealed by the forest official, the witness
deposed.

Vyas said later that day, he went with Bora to Umed
Bhawan Palace where the forest official searched room number
508 in which Salman Khan was staying.

During the search, an air gun, some cartridges, a camera
and a film roll were found and seized, Vyas said.

The witness could not be cross examined as the film
star's advocate was busy in another court.

Besides Salman, comedian Satish Shah and four others are
also accused in the case.

The next hearing will take place on Oct 29.
