New Delhi: As 2015 is nearing its end, Facebook is making sure that you don't stumble on a bad memory!
Facebook has just released 2015's Your Year in Review, its annual feature that lets users look back on the things they shared over the last 12 months. This year, the company has taken an extra precaution and redesigned the feature to help filter out sad memories.
This modification comes after the social media giant earned backlash over the feature last year. Users had criticized the feature for surfacing memories which were painful or the ones which they were trying to forget, like photos of exes, breakups or of loved ones who passed away.
So, this year, Facebook has made the feature fully customizable with an edit option so that users can themselves decide which photo to keep and which to discard.
The company said that it has taken better precautions this time, and "applied a unique set of filters" to prevent from such photos from popping-up. "We won't show you photos where memorialised accounts or exes are tagged, or photos with people you've blocked or added to your On This Day preferences." said the company.
