Agartala: Tripura Assembly Friday witnessed uproarious scenes over demand for cancellation of membership of ruling RSP MLA, Partha Das, whose Schedule Caste certificate was found to be forged.
At the reference period, Leader of the Opposition Ratan Lal Nath started reading out a proposal demanding cancellation of the membership of the MLA on the plea that his Schedule Caste certificate was cancelled by the State Level Schedule Caste Scrutiny Committee (SLSCC).
Speaker Ramendra Nath said the matter was subjudice as the MLA took the matter to the High Court.

However, he challenged the decision of the SLSCC in the Gauhati High Court.
