Dholpur: A dacoit wanted in several cases of robbery, murder, and extortion and having a cash reward of Rs 2,000 was arrested during a combing operation in Ravines area of Dholpur, police said on Wednesday.
A team of Dholpur police chased notorious dacoit Pappu Meena between Lilothi and Miramad areas and arrested him yesterday, they said.
According to police, one 315 point bore rifle and two live cartridges were seized from his possession.
The accused dacoit was wanted in an alleged murder of Sripati Meena of Mothiapura village from where he belonged.
He was also wanted in extortion cases reported from mine owners of Karuali and Dholpur.
Pappu was a member of the Rajkumar Meena dacoit gang, they said, adding, thorough probe will be conducted in each of the cases in which he was involved.
