New Delhi: The iconic Eiffel tower has been lit up in green for the Paris climate change conference. The tower was lit up in the colour green with the help of an app.

The initiative namely “1 Heart 1 Tree” is started by Naziha Mestaoui. The most interesting part of this initiative is that if you want to participate in it, you can buy a virtual tree through this app and can add it to the Eiffel Tower. In simple words, a smartphone user can “plant a tree” on this landmark whenever they want.

The tower is normally visited by between 15,000 and 20,000 people a day.
