Apple engineer JP Labrosse`s company Stir said that they have built a table that nudges the user with a gentle, 2.5-centimetre rise and fall of its surface, and if the user takes the suggestion, the table rises to standing height, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
The desk is controlled from a colour touchscreen, and to change between sitting and standing positions, it`s supposed to be tapped twice. It can also be programmed to make the user stand. A hidden heat sensor also helps it determine whether the user`s there.
The Stir Kinetic desk is available for 3890 dollars.
