Review: ‘Fast and Furious’ is more than just mindless car racing

Mumbai, April 03: The fourth film in the series of ‘Fast and the Furious’, which released nationwide this Friday, truly seems to be more closely related to the first part. It has fast cars with a not very significant but entertaining plot with some girl on girl action in some explicit sex scenes. Directed by Justin Lin, the film picks up with Vin Diesel comfortably robbing folks on a vehicle, in the Dominican Republic. Vin does what he does best- power packed action stunts. Coming together with Paul Walker, the duo does pull of an entertaining act. Taking a look into the story line, Paul Walker is trying to break a big drug case wide open. The drug kingpin in question is named Braga, who is hiring street racers to smuggle drugs across the US-Mexican border, and Diesel and Walker end up targeting him for various reasons, and to ultimately drive cars extremely fast. The best part about the movie is its teeth clinching action sequences. And it’s not just about mindless racing this time, it also focuses equally on vengeance, love and friendship. Although the opening action sequence doesn’t seem too grabbing, but the stunts throughout are surely a treat to watch. Rating: Three cheers for this one!
