Pakistani leader shot dead

Islamabad: A leader of Pakistan`s Nat­i­onal Party (NP) and a member of the Gogadan union cou­ncil, has been shot dead in Balochistan`s Turbat city.

Unidentified assailants dragged Jan Ahmed Da­­­shti out of his vehicle and fired at him, Dawn online quoted the police sources as saying.

District Council chairman Fida Hussain Dashti said Dashti`s death was a huge loss to the NP and demanded the immediate arrest of his killers.
