New Delhi, Nov 27: Intelligence inputs suggest Pakistan has moved some of its troops back to peace time locations that are in close proximity of operational locations, defence minister George Fernandes informed the Rajya Sabha today.

In a written reply, he said the strategic reserves of Pakistan army continued to be located in the operational location.

The pace of pulling back of the armed forces also indicated that Pakistan intended to undertake the process in a phased manner, he said.

Fernandes said the strategic relocation of troops by India was being carried out in a gradual manner without impairing the capacity to respond aggressively and decisively
to any emergency and without lowering the vigil in Jammu and Kashmir.
