Lucknow: Congress on Saturday announced its nominees for the by-elections to - Jangipur and Bilari - seat in the state next month.
Shailesh Singh will be party candidate from Jangipur seat in Ghazipur and Shishupal Singh Jatav will be the nominee from Bilari seat in Morababad, a party release issued here said.
Polling in Jangipur seat was necessitate following the death of sitting MLA and cabinet minister Kailash Yadav in February after a brain hemorrhage and Bilari following the death of 64-four-year-old Haji Irfan in a road accident in March.
Polling for the two seats will be held on May 16 and counting will take place on May 19.
