`Selfish Gerrard cares only about himself’

London: El Hadji Diouf has branded Steven Gerrard "selfish" and claims the Reds` captain was jealous of him when he played for Liverpool.

In an interview with French newspaper L’Equipe, the 31-year-old former Liverpool forward has claimed that the Reds` skipper does not care about the club`s results, as long as he puts in a good individual performance. Diouf spent three years on Merseyside before moving to Bolton Wanderers in 2005. The former Senegal international also mentioned Jamie Carragher in a similar light, but did not divulge any information about the long-serving defender.
