Bengkulu (Indonesia), Aug 15: A key
suspect in the Bali bombings Azahari has been captured, media
reports said here, although the authorities did not confirm
the reports.
Azahari, a bombmaking expert who is also believed to
have been involved in the Marriott hotel blast in Jakarta last
week, was arrested on August 12 in Rawa Makmur area of
Bengkulu city in the province, reports said.
"I don't know at all. If I say 'yes' and I don't know
about it, I may be called a big lier", Bangkulu police chief
DRS, M Toha Suharto said here when asked about the reports.
The information on the bomb-maker's arrest was
received from head of Sawah Lebar Baru village, media reports
said.
Bali governor Hasan Zen also said he had not received
an official confirmation on Azahari's arrest and came to know
about it through media reports.
