Iranian plane with 160 passengers aboard crashes

An Iranian tupolev airliner on Tuesday crashed near Khorammabad in southwest Iran with 160 passengers aboard, local authorities contacted by telephone from Tehran
told news agency.

The plane on an internal flight from Khorramabad to Tehran came down in a mountainous region shortly after taking off, an official at the governor`s office said.
There was no information on the number of casualties or the cause of the crash.
