Report: Bush says U.S. troops will remain in Iraq

London, Nov 17: US President George W Bush said he plans to keep American troops in Iraq although his officials are speeding up moves to end the coalition occupation there, a British newspaper reported today.

London, Nov 17: US President George W Bush said he plans to keep American troops in Iraq although his officials are speeding up moves to end the coalition occupation there, a British newspaper reported today.
"You don't have to worry about us pulling out," Bush
was quoted as saying in an interview with the Sun, ahead of
the President's visit to Britain starting tomorrow. "We're
not leaving. We're staying there to get a job done."

The Sun also said Bush confirmed that the top American
administrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, is speeding up the
formation of an interim Iraqi government to end the coalition
occupation by mid 2004.
