Paris: Jorge Lorenzo of Spain regained the top spot in world championship standings on Sunday after claiming the French MotoGP in Le Mans on Sunday.
Lorenzo finished 9.905 seconds ahead of Italian Valentino Rossi. Casey Stoner, who has announced retirement after the end of the current season, finished third. "When it rains, you need to keep concentration. I knew Casey Stoner was close behind but I kept calm and didn`t force things," Lorenzo was quoted as saying by a news agency.
