Shahid Kapoor and the women in his life

One of the most eligible bachelors of Bollywood - Shahid Kapoor- got hitched and that has shattered many a dreams and a quite a few hearts, too.

Shahid's marriage news with Delhi girl Mira Rajput is no less than a fairytale!

While some of us are having a hard time stomaching this, it is important to mention that Mira is not the first ladylove in his life.

Our Sasha has had quite a number of romantic linkups before he decided to settle down with the one true love -Mira.

Let's brush up our knowledge on the ex-lovers that Shahid is rumoured to have dated:

Amrita Rao: In the initial days of his career, the `Ishq Vishq` pair was believed to have been seeing each other. They later went on to do `Vivaah` which went on to become a success. They spilt up later on, reportedly.

It would be interesting to throw light on the fact that Shahid's real life story with Mira is quite similar to the reel life story of Shahid-Amrita in `Vivaah`. An ideal arranged marriage and as they say - they live happily ever after!

Kareena Kapoor: Well, their's was another magical story that came to a sad end. Bebo and Shahid were once the `it` couple of B-Town and it lasted around for five years. The former couple had always been open about their relationship with the media and had no qualms of coming together in the talk show `Koffee With Karan`.

But they parted ways soon after `Jab We Met` and never acted together in a film again. Their whirlwind romance came to an end much to the disappointment of their fans who wanted them to settle down. But alas! Kareena later tied the knot and found solace in the arms of Saif Ali Khan. Shahid and Kareena will soon be seen in a film titled 'Udta Punjab' but interestingly, they don't share screen space even once.

Vidya Balan: Post his break up with Bebo, it was speculated that Shahid had a very hard and upsetting time recovering from it. As kismat would have had it, destiny brought him `closer to Vidya Balan, it was speculated.  

Priyanka Chopra: Moving on, the one hush-hush affair of our loverboy Shahid was with B-Town sexy siren Priyanka Chopra. Their relationship (read rumoured) is believed to have sprung during the shoot of `Kaminey` and they later did `Teri Meri Kahaani` together. 
But, they are nothing more than friends now.

And now, the hotbod actor is ready to marry the girl his family arranged for him – Mira.

Shahid was once quoted saying to a tabloid, that he would never date any actresses or marry anyone from the film world. Shahid, surely has kept his word.

Reports suggest that Shahid and his 23 year-old fiancee will tie the knot in July.

Well, marriage in July or not, but we wish the soon-to-be-married couple good times ahead!
