New Delhi: NASA announced on Wednesday that it is planning to send its R5 humanoid robot, also known as Valkyrie, to Mars and even into deeper space locations.

NASA originally designed the R5 robot, which stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 290 pound, for disaster relief operations, but now the space agency intends to see it as a potential tool for other extraterrestrial locations.
