After rolling out video calling on Windows phones last week, it seems that Facebook-owned chat messenger WhatsApp is soon going to enable video calling facility on its platform for Android phones too.

New Delhi: After rolling out video calling on Windows phones last week, it seems that Facebook-owned chat messenger WhatsApp is soon going to enable video calling facility on its platform for Android phones too. WABETAInfo tweeted on Monday: “I received a report about video calls on WhatsApp for Android (NO ROOT). Are they finalizing the server to enable video calls?”

WhatsApp Beta users on Windows Phone are able to make video calls on WhatsApp.
As one clicks on the call button, on the windows phone, both Video and Voice call options appear. You can even mute or swap between the front and rear cameras during the video call.
