New Delhi: Here's some good news for the rail commuters!
Announced by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu during presentation of the Rail Budget 2016-17, Humsafar Express –a special class service comprising only AC-3 coaches –will come with really plush services, as per media reports.
A report in the Indian Express said that the newest addition to the Humsafar Express is its “all new AC-III tier coach” that will house coffee and tea machines, CCTVs and GPS-based passenger information system
Furthermore, the report said that the new AC-III tier coach will be “rolled out by the middle of November.”
Humsafar is a special class train for inter-city overnight journey with many additional facilities which are otherwise not available in normal AC-3 coaches.
So far, the news is that CCTV, GPS-based passenger information system, fire and smoke detection and suppression system and mobile, laptop charging points with every berth are some of the features on Humsafar trains.
Besides, Humsafar will have improved aesthetics with new interior and exterior colour scheme presenting a futuristic look with the use of vinyl sheets similar to Maharaja Express coaches. It will also have integrated braille displays.
