From Ambanis to Shah Rukh Khan: Celebrities pay last respects to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father

New Delhi: Not just the Bachchans but, in fact, an array of celebrities went into a state of shock after knowing about the demise of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai. And to pay their last respects, friends and colleagues visited the Bachchan family.

Krishnaraj's funeral was held on Saturday night at the Vile Parle Seva Sansthan Shamshan Bhoomi in Mumbai. A host of celebrities including actors Shah Rukh Khan, Kunal Kapoor and filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker reportedly attended his cremation.

If online reports are to be believed, Kokilaben Ambani also paid a visit at the Bandra residence to express condolence. It is being said that Bollywood filmmaker JP Dutta was seen visiting Aish.

Krishnaraj Rai passed away on Saturday at a suburban hospital due to health issues. Rai was hospitalised a few weeks ago and later shifted to the ICU. He was reportedly battling cancer.

Krishnaraj Rai is survived by wife Vrinda, son Aditya and daughter Aishwarya.
