From Priya Prakash Varrier's wink to Sonam Gupta's 'bewafahi', here are the trends that broke the internet

New Delhi: Priya Prakash Varrier is the latest internet sensation after a short clip from the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from Omar Lulu’s upcoming Malayalam movie Oru Adaar Love went viral on social media. Like Priya's song clip, there have been a number of instances that became a social media trend.

1. Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai

Before Dhinchak Pooja's  latest hit, Aafreen Fathima Bewafa Hai there was another 'Bewafa' story that was breaking the internet.

Someone had scribbled 'Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai' on a Rs. 10/- currency and had shared the picture of the note on social media

Who knew that a betrayed lover's angry scrawl would end up becoming an overnight sensation!

2. Kolaveri Di Song

We all have heard of Hinglish but it was actor Dhanush's hit viral song, Why This Kolaveri Di which made Tinglish popular. The song, a mix of Tamil and English language was a social media rage.

Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song was written and sung by Dhanush originally for the soundtrack of the movie 3. 

3. Entammede Jimikki Kammal Song

It isn't every day that a Malayalam song goes viral but Jimikki Kammal was a song that was stuck in everyone's head as soon as it catched attention. 

The song 'Entammede Jimikki Kammal' was a part of Mohanlal's film 'Velipadinte Pusthakam'. It was sung by vocalists Vineeth Sreenivasan and Renjith Unni on the tunes of music director Shaan Rahman.

4. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 clip

Who can forget Kartik Aryan giving a speech about relationships! The monologue starts with Kartik saying, 'Problem, problem ye hai ki vo ladki hai!". The clip was a part of movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and became an instant hit! It can be said that it was because of this epic monologue, that people flooded theaters to watch Pyaar ka Punchnama 2. 

5. Priya Prakash Varrier's wink

 A short clip from the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from Omar Lulu’s upcoming Malayalam movie Oru Adaar Love went viral on social media.  The song, sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan and composed by Shaan Rahman became popular but it was Priya Prakash Varrier who stole the show and has been ruling hearts because of her intriguing expressions, especially the adorable wink!
