Mumbai: Kannada Bigg Boss 4 winner Pratham addressed his followers on Facebook through a live video after consuming pills and announced that he wanted to end his life because he was deeply affected by rumours about his personal and professional life.

This news incidentally came a day after an engineering student - Arjun Bhardwaj - committed suicide by jumping off the 19th floor of a hotel here after announcing his intention to end his life via live Facebook video.

According to a report in TOI, Pratham was rushed to a hospital soon after.

As per the report, a source close to Pratham also revealed that the Bigg Boss winner had tried to file a complaint about a laptop and hard disk that went missing. They reportedly contained his yet to be released debut directorial venture ‘Devrawne Budu Guru’.

Ajul Balaji, an actor-TV presenter, who apparently knows Pratham very closely said, “When one sees fame overnight, it becomes tough to deal with it.”

“This is something anyone needs to be prepared for, for showbiz brings with it both the good and the bad. I've always told Pratham that the Bigg Boss winner tag won't last forever and he needs to be ready for everything. I am yet to meet him, but have been inquiring about his well-being,” TOI quoted Akul as saying.
