New Delhi: Actor Shahid Kapoor's doting wife is soon going to make her Bollywood debut. The star wife has reportedly signed a film opposite actor Sidharth Malhotra.

According to reports, the film is the Hindi adaptation of famous English classic 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' written by D.H Lawerence. The film will be directed by 'Padmaavat' director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

During Neha Dhupia's talk show 'BFFs With Vogue', Mira had expressed her desire to work with Bhansali, if ever she joins Bollywood. In the same show, Shahid had subtly revealed that Mira has a secret crush on Sidharth Malhotra.

The sources close to the star wife revealed that Mira is very excited to be a part of the project. Being a literature student, she knows the story well and is a fan of  Lawrence's work. Mira had earlier suggested a filmmaker to make films based on Daphne du Maurier's 'Rebecca' and D H Lawerence's 'Sons and Lovers', the filmmaker is reportedly considering her suggestions.

Shahid Kapoor, who might do a cameo in Mira's debut film has told a leading daily that he is extremely happy about his wife's debut. "Mira has always been in favour of quality work. Before finalising any script, I discuss it with Mira. Being a voracious reader and a lit grad, Mira has the ability to judge a script. I am happy that she is debuting in Sanjay sir's film. It would be a great learning experience for her, " Shahid told a leading daily.

The makers are planning to make an official announcement about the film on Twitter after finalising the rest of the cast. The film is most likely to release later in 2019.

But before you start flooding Mira Rajput's Instagram handle with comments and messages, have a look at the calendar.
