New Delhi: Popular Bollywood singer Shaan has finally reacted to the Assam concert controversy where he was allegedly attacked by paper balls. The singer during his performance at the Sarusajai stadium in Guwahati on October 28 had an unsavoury moment when upon singing a Bengali song, people threw paper balls at him.

He was allegedly attacked with small stones and paper balls while some of the audience sitting in the stadium reportedly shouted 'this is Assam and not Bengal'. The video clips went viral on social media and created a storm online.

With so much happening on stage, Shaan had to stop his performance midway but reportedly returned to sing a couple of songs. Now, the singer took to his Twitter and finally reacted to the incident after a fan wrote about feeling sorry for whatever happened.

Shaan replied to him writing, “Just for the records ...loved my Assam Tour!! Saw the most fascinating sights...made new friends..had huge turnouts at every concert.. Over one unfortunate incident it would be VeryWrong to Tarnish this Beautifull State!!! Whatever happened was in the heat of the moment .”

Shaan has crooned several hit songs in Bollywood and has been the voice of many leading actors in Indian cinema. The singer has also hosted several singing reality shows.
