Son abandons 'Pakeezah' actress Geeta Kapoor in hospital

New Delhi: 'Pakeezah' actress Geeta Kapoor has reportedly been abandoned by her son in a Mumbai hospital. It is being said that Ramesh Taurani and Ashoke Pandit has now stepped forward to pay her hospital bills.

According to a DNA report, she was admitted to the SRV Hospital on April 21  for blood pressure treatment. But, when his son was asked for the payment, he went outside to look for an ATM and never returned. 

Geeta told Mid-Day that her son used to beat her a lot and lock her up for several days without food as she denied to go to an old-age home. As per TV9, none of her relatives/family have got her discharged even after a month.

According to Jagran, Taurani came to her rescue after reading about the same in news. 

However, efforts are still on to trace Geeta's family.
