Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were seen shopping in Cape Town – Watch

Mumbai: Indian cricket captain and his wife Anushka Sharma were seen shopping at a mall in Cape Town, South Africa. The dashing sportsman and his film star better-half, who got married on December 11 in a hush-hush ceremony in Tuscany, Italy ringed in the New Year in the African country.

When fans saw them shopping at a store, they started clicking pics and recording videos of the duo.

One such video has surfaced online.

Virat is in South Africa to lead India in a two-month long tour. India is scheduled to play 3 test matches, 6 One Day Internationals and 3 T20s.

Anushka is expected to return to India in the next few days as she has to complete her home production Pari.

The couple had remained tight-lipped about the wedding.

They announced their marriage by issuing a joint statement on the day of their wedding and thereby surprise fans and well-wishers.

The statement read: “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.(sic).”

Soon after the destination wedding, speculations are rife that Virushka flew to Finland. Anushka even took to her Facebook page to share an image from their honeymoon. In the next few days, the couple returned to India to host a reception for relatives in Delhi on December 21. The gala event was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who presented a red rose both to the bride and the groom.

On December 26, the couple hosted another reception for cricketers and film industry colleagues at the city’s St Regis Astor Ballroom.
