New Delhi: Chaos and confusion have gripped the common man as they are making mad rush to banks, public booths, petrol pumps to exchange Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes following the Narendra Modi government's decision to demonetise such notes.
Deposit the old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 in banks or post office accounts from November 10, till December 30, 2016 without any limit.
There will be a limit on withdrawal of Rs 10,000 per day and Rs 20,000 per week. This limit will be increased in the coming days.
The RBI has issued several guidelines so that the panic among people can be arrested. However, if you are still confused regarding the demonetisation scheme you can email RBI or approach them through telephone.
