New Delhi: South megastar Mohanlal's Malayalam outing 'Pulimurugan', dubbed in Telugu as 'Manyam Puli' stormed the box office. The mind-blowing performances by Mohanlal and the supporting cast where man-eating ferocious tigers attack a village found a positive audience response.

The trailer of the Telugu version 'Manyam Puli' where the boy is saved from a ferocious beast remains one of the highlights. The film was released in 500 screens across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on December 2, 2016.

In India 'Pulimurugan' was open in theatres on October 7, 2016. Interestingly, 'Pulimurugan' has grossed over Rs 152 crore worldwide. Also, it is first Malayalam film to cross Rs 100 crore mark and Rs 150 crore mark.

'Pulimurugan' remains the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever and the third highest-grossing South Indian film of 2016. The film is directed by Vysakh.
