India vs SL, Asia Cup 2016: Tough to beat MS Dhoni and co, says Angelo Mathews

New Delhi: Sri Lanka's Angelo Mathews on Tuesday conceded that beating India in Match 7 of the Asia Cup 2016 will be very tough.

The two sides face-off later in the day, with MS Dhoni's men clear favorties to brush aside the Lankan challenge.

Lasith Malinga's men were stunned by Bangladesh after winning their opening game against UAE.

A defeat against the Men in Blue will come as a major blow to Sri Lanka's bid of defending their title.

“It's going to be tough now, but we beat India recently and we will need to repeat that again. The guys are looking forward to the challenge,” the all-rounder wrote in his column for the Times of India.

Sri Lanka are currently third on the table with 2 points from 2 matches, while India lead the pack with 4 points.
