Islamabad: West Indies leg spinner Samuel Badree has reportedly tagged former Pakistan off spinner Saqlain Mushtaq as a `calming influence` on the side.
Badree said that Saqlain`s ability to remain calm has helped them more than his technical inputs, as he is coaching the West Indies bowlers on how to read a batsman`s mind.
According to The Nation, Badree said that Mushtaq, who is a part of the West Indies coaching group for the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh, is one who does not get `anxious or worked up` over any situation.
The leg spinner also said that Mushtaq does not panic at all and it is his calming influence that has been doing wonders not only for Badree but for all the bowlers as well.
Badree further added that Mushtaq is someone who can work out a situation very well as he sits and analyses the game.
Saqlain had been brought in to help the West Indies` spinners after a clinic at the WICB High Performance Centre last year and he has also worked with Bangladesh recently, the report added.
