Sri Lankan bowlers have done their job really well, now it's time for their batsmen to chase the total successfully. =================================================== Over 19 || Score 123/3 Struggling Yuvraj finally got out in the first ball of the over bowled by Kulasekara. On the other hand, India are playing with the same X1. ============================================================== Dhoni and Malinga are in the center for the toss. Malinga flips the coin. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. ============================================================== Toss is about to take place in a few minutes. ============================================================== Now the fans would certainly like to watch a good contest between bat and ball, to be more precise between Malinga and Kohli. ============================================================== Now the toss can take place at any moment. So you can expect a thriller tonight. Players are warming up in the middle before the match. Ground staff has done a fabulous work. ============================================================== Good news for cricket lovers as the covers from the ground are being taken off. ============================================================== Covers are still on. But strong wind has started blowing which might take the clouds away. ============================================================== One thing is sure that match won't start on time. The groundsmen are working hard and are taking all precautionary measures but still it's not in their hands to stop the rain. ============================================================== Bad news for cricket fans. It's raining in Mirpur. The entire ground is being covered. Rain is not heavy, but certainly steady. Rain playing a spoilsport in the finals. ============================================================== Let's have a look at the probables. India: Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohit Sharma. Sri Lanka: Kusal Perera, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Lahiru Thirimanne, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Sachithra Senanayake, Lasith Malinga, Rangana Herath ============================================================== India and Sri Lanka are all set to lock horns in the finals of the ICC World Twenty20 which is to kick-start in some in a few minutes at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. Both teams have played brilliantly throughout the fifth edition of the coveted tournament and in the finals it would be the battle of nerves. India team is still unbeaten in the tournament and would like to maintain its winning streak. On the other hand, Sri Lanka would love to give a fitting farewell to two of their senior pros, Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, who will be playing in their last T20 International, as they have announced retirement from the shortest format of the game. If we look at the strengths of both the teams then they are heavily dependent on their spinners. Both the teams have three front line tweakers in their side. If India have R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra in their side then Islanders too have Ajantha Mendis, Sachithra Senanayake and Rangana Herath in their squad. However, in overall comparison Sri Lankan bowling looks more complete as they also have world class seamers in Lasith Malinga and Nuwan Kulasekara. When it comes to batting department, though, Lanka have depth, but India certainly have more fire-power in their batting, especially when it comes to the shortest format of the game. On top of it, Indian opener Rohit Sharma has played a few good knocks, whereas, new run-machine of Indian team Virat Kohli is at the top of his form. And his match-winning innings in the last match against South Africa must have filled him with more confidence. Along with that, India also have proven match-winners in Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, R Ashwin and Ravinder Jadeja. But the real contest in the match would be between Kohli and Malinga. If Sri Lanka would like to improve their records in the finals of the ICC events then India would love to hold all three ICC trophies at the same time, as they have already 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy in their bag.
