New Delhi: Former Australian cricketer Mike Hussey feels that premier Indian batsman Virat Kohli will be the most prized wicket for the West Indian bowlers in today's semi-final clash of the ICC World Twenty20.
In his column for Times of India, the Aussie wrote on Virat that: “He's on a different level at the moment, and playing with so much maturity , confidence and poise. Obviously , there are other fantastic players in the team like Dhoni, Rohit and Shikhar, but the way he's playing at the moment, Virat is the No. 1 target and from the opposition's point of view getting him out quickly upfront would give them a much better chance of winning.”
Hussey, 40, thinks that game between hosts India and Windies is going to be a cracker of a match.
Former Australian batsman asserted that Chris Gayle would be the key wicket for the Indians.
“There's a lot of power in the West Indies side, a lot of dangerous strikers. But you get the feeling that Chris Gayle is the big wicket and if India can get him out cheaply , it might go a long way to winning the match,” added Hussey.
Mr Cricket believes that “India are going to be hard to stop as well. And they are playing at home, where the opposition will have to contend with vociferous home fans.”
