Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi became highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket

New Delhi: Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi on Friday became the highest wicket-taker Twenty20 cricket.

The 35-year-old all-rounder took 3 English wickets in the second Twenty20 international in Dubai. He now has 86 wickets in as many matches.

He removed England's top three batsmen - Jason Roy, Alex Hales and James Vince - in his four-over spell by giving away only 15 runs.

England opted to bat first and started promisingly, scoring 32 runs in the first four overs. But the skipper introduced himself to put a break on the scoring rate.

England, who lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first game by 14 runs on Thursday, made 172-8 in their 20 overs. James Vince (38) and Jos Buttler (33) were the top scorers for visitors.
