Sydney: Former off-spinner Ashley Mallett has said that Australia would be taking a risk if they persisted with their aggressive strategy against Graeme Swann even though it bore fruit at the Gabba.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Swann, the leading wicket-taker from this year`s Ashes series in England, produced a shocker in Brisbane but Mallett said the tweaker would be much better suited by conditions in Adelaide.
Swann signalled to Australia he had turned the corner on Saturday when he captured four wickets against a Cricket Australia Chairman`s XI team, the report said.
Although Mallett predicted Australia would emerge triumphant he believed Swann would again have another productive match in Adelaide, the report added.
However, he also said Alastair Cook needed to improve his tactics for Swann, describing some of his field settings in the first Test as terrible.
