New Delhi: Former batting legend Sachin Tendulkar congratulated the visually impaired Indian team for winning the Blind Cricket World Cup.

Earlier on Sunday, India beat two-time winner and defending champions Pakistan in the summit clash to be crowned champions at Wally Wilson Cricket Ground in Cape Town. Tendulkar said that the achievement should inspire the potential world beaters in the country.

The batting maestro expressed his views on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Pakistan who batted first, put up a mammoth total in front of India by scoring 389 runs in 40 overs after losing seven wickets.

But Indian batsmen displayed superb skills and chased the total successfully to seal the match by five wickets against their arch-rivals.
