Virender Sehwag flops as Tamil Nadu beat Haryana by 9 wickets in Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Virender Sehwag got out cheaply after scoring mere three runs.

New Delhi: Riding on the outstanding bowling performances by M Ashwin and Antony Dhas, Tamil Nadu crushed Haryana by nine wickets of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Twenty20 tournament on Saturday.

Dhas and Ashwin shared seven wickets among them to bundle out Haryana for a paltry total of 113 in 19.1 overs.

When Tamil Nadu came to chase the total, Anirudha Srikkanth and Baba Aparajith played unbeaten knocks of 54, 49 respectively, to make sure that Tamil Nadu chase down the total with ease.

Virender Sehwag, who has recently announced retirement from international cricket, got out cheaply after adding three runs.

The former India opener is playing this tournament as part of his preparations for the upcoming Masters Champions League.
