Barcelona: Andres Iniesta is the latest Barcelona star to launch a scathing attack on former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, accusing him of harming the image of Spanish football.
Mourinho left los Blancos three years before his contract was due to expire after a trophyless season beset by infighting and controversy before returning to his former club Chelsea.
Speaking in an interview in Sunday`s edition of El Pais, Iniesta heavily criticised the Portuguese coach and the legacy he left at Real Madrid.
"You just have to look at the facts," the 29-year-old midfielder said.
"Yes he damaged Spanish football, in general more harm than good.
"But I don`t like talking about that person at all. So if you don`t mind we`ll leave it at that."
Mourinho and Iniesta have previously feuded in the media earlier this season when the Spain international criticised the former`s decision to continuously overlook goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
Mourinho responded with a jibe at Barcelona`s reliance on Lionel Messi:
"(Iniesta) can think what he likes, but I would say to him that without Messi his team is so different and that is why they did what they did in the semi-finals of the Champions League," the 50-year-old trainer retorted.
Iniesta joins Xavi and Gerard Pique as the latest Barcelona players to comment this week on Mourinho`s conduct whilst at their fiercest rivals.
