Even during the match, firecrackers were detonated inside the stadium hurting at least 10 people, of which two were said to be in serious conditions. Police were called into prevent a possible clash among the opposing fans.

Mid-table oufit Torino came from behind to the champions 2-1 in a pulsating derby. The win was their first win over their more fancied neighbours for the first time in 20 years.
