New Delhi: Uruguay forward Edinson Cavani made the difference for Paris Saint-Germain in the 2-1 win against Chelsea in a crucial first leg Round of 16 encounter of the Champions League at the Parc des Princes.

Cavani came as a substitute for Brazilian player Luca Moura in the 74th minute and struck the winner four minutes later.

He beat the stupendous Thiabut Courtouis after getting fed from a Angel di Maria pass to strike the ball through the keeper's legs from a tight angle.

There were wild celebrations from the players and fans alike after the goal that turned out to give the hosts a slender lead.

It is a big moment for the Uruguayan given that he has played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic who starred on Tuesday with the opening goal and had some key passes and skillful touches to his name.
