USA`s going through to the last 16, was a result of Portugal`s 2-1 win over Ghana in another Group G encounter in Brasilia. It was a huge moment for the Algerian fans when their team got its maiden last-16 entry in the World Cup after closing the door on Russia with a 1-1 draw as 10-man Belgium edged past South Korea 1-0 to stay atop Group H. Algeria were trailing 0-1 before Islam Slimani scored in the 60th minute of the game. With Belgium finishing on nine points, Algeria, which will meet Germany for a place in the quarter-finals, ended with four to Russia`s two and South Korea`s one.
