Zinedine Zidane: Gareth Bale's hat-trick savours Real Madrid legend's first game in charge

New Delhi: It couldn't have been any better than this. A 5-0 victory in one's first game, who is in charge of one of the world's biggest clubs in the world, Zinedine Zidane will remember the night forever.

The former Real Madrid player who replaced a sacked Rafael Benitez as the side's manager, got a perfect start in his new chapter in life after taking over as a first team head coach. Welshman Gareth Bale scored a sublime hat-trick as Karim Benzema starred with a brace as the Spanish giants thrashed Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga.

Madrid were impressive as a team on the pitch and Zidane looks like he has already installed a sense of dynamism and enthusiasm in the side. There was a flair about his side's play and the Santiago Bernaebau looked satisfied again.

Zidane's 4-3-3 formation paid dividends with his midfield dominating the ball and their linking with the forwards helped the side create chances.

Zidane went on to praise Gareth Bale after the game and wants him to continue such form.

Time isn't given at Real Madrid as the latest to have faced the brunt was Benitez after just 18 games in charge in La Liga. Zidane will not be bothered about anything else at the moment. The fact that he has gone off to a dream start will definitely help him in matches to come.

One thing Zidane has done is that he has got a positive atmosphere straightaway and just like his playing days fans will hope he earns many accolades as a manager too.

Madrid kept the pressure on Barcelona and Atletico and interestingly as all three present club's managers have played for their respective sides as players too.

Zidane was always set to take over someday and now he finally has. Zidane's Real Madrid could go distances this term.
