New Delhi: Sakshi Malik, along with other champions from Rio Olympics, was handed over a BMW by Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar at an event last Sunday.

The wrestler who hails from Rohtak in Haryana, became the first Indian woman wrestler to clinch a medal at an Olympic event.

In was indeed a historic moment as a result of which she was handed over the keys of the car, which were also given to PV Sindhu, Dipa Karmakar as well as Pullela Gopichand.

But surprisingly, fans won't see Sakshi driving the BMW on the roads of Rohtak.

In an exclusive chat with The Times of India, Sakshi said, "I will drive the blue VW Polo car that my father gifted me two years back after I won silver at the 2014 Common wealth Games in Glasgow."

When asked what will happen to the BMW, the 23-year-old said, "I will gift it to my dad. He has sacrificed a lot for me."
