Munich: Young pistol shooter Heena Sidhu outshined reigning world champion Zorana Arunovic to win gold medal at the ISSF World Cup Final in Munich on Sunday.
In the 10m Air Pistol women`s event, the 24-year-old Sidhu finished with a total of 203.8 in the final round – 5.2 points ahead of Serbia’s Arunovic.
Sidhu qualified for the finals in third place behind Olena Kostevych of Ukraine and Alejandra Zavala of Mexico.
However, she gave her best shot in the showdown and her total of 203.8 points was enough to land her a gold medal as her closest opponent Arunovic managed 198.6.
