New Delhi: Rio 2016 medal winners PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik were accorded grand welcomes on their arrival in India.
While India's overall performance at the Games wasn't on expected lines, it was impossible to find a fault with Sakshi and Sindhu's displays.
They might not have won gold but the two didn't leave anything behind in the tank during their respective contests.
Interestingly, British journalist Piers Morgan on Wednesday mocked Indians for wildly celebrating the achievements of the duo. He even termed it as embarrassing.

Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that? https://t.co/FYSBM7ErAf — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 24, 2016
To be fair to Morgan, he has been consistent in his views about athletes celebrating silver and bronze medals. According to the 51-year-old, sports is all about winning and anything beyond that doesn't merit a celebration.
Morgan, an Arsenal fan, is also known for his attacks on players and manager Arsene Wenger for celebrating fourth and third place finishes in the Premier League.
