Olympic chief Lord Coe ‘secretly wed’ long-term girlfriend earlier this year

London: London Olympics chief Sebastian Coe has secretly married his long-time girlfriend Carole Annett.

The father of four children by his first marriage to horsewoman Nicky McIrvine, Coe, kept the news of his second marriage, earlier this summer, to a very small circle of family and close friends, a leading daily reports. The Olympic gold medallist, 54, had been in a relationship with Annett, 44, the commercial retail editor for House and Garden magazine, for more than eight years. The location and date of the ceremony have not been revealed, but the couple held a reception in London to celebrate with a wider circle of friends in July. They will live at Lord Coe’s two million dollars mansion in Tilford, the paper said. The new Mrs Coe has two children with marketing consultant Andy Annett, who branded Lord Coe a ‘marriage wrecker’ in 2004 for allegedly having a year-long affair with his wife. ANI
