Indo-Swiss pair of Sania Mirza, Martina Hingis lose summit clash in Stuttgart

New Delhi: The Indo-Swiss pair of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis lost the finals of Stuttgart Open on Monday to second seeds Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic.

Even after winning the first set 6-2, the top-ranked pair lost the next two 1-6, 6-10, and with that failed to win their 14th title.

Mirza and Hingis haven't won a title since February and this time too they lost in the final to French pair in a dramatic match.

Referring to Hingis and Mirza, Mladenovic said after the match: "It's very exciting and challenging to get to play you guys. I hope we get to play many more finals together."

SanTina will now look to put up a a good show on red dirt as they aim to win their first French Open together, which is scheduled to take place in June.
