Health Ministry: 54 Districts from 23 States/UTs have not reported fresh cases in last 14 days

The total number of coronavirus COVID-19 cases in India reached 15,712 and the death toll climbed to 507, till 9.50 am (IST) on Sunday (April 19). According to Union Health Minsitry, the last 24 hours recorded 1,334 cases and 27 deaths and 239 cured cases. Percentage of the cured rise to 14.20 on Sunday.

Health Ministry: COVID-19 cases in 23 states across India increased due to the Nizamuddin Markaz

In a press briefing on April 18 Health Ministry said, the mortality rate in India is around 3.3%. An age-wise analysis will tell you that 14.4% of deaths have been reported in the age group of 0-45 yrs. Between 45-60 yrs it is 10.3%, between 60-75 yrs it is 33.1% and for 75 years and above it is 42.2%.

Health Ministry: In last 24 hours, 1,007 cases and 23 deaths have taken place

The number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 13,387 out of which 11,201 are active cases and as many as 1,748 people have been cured and discharged and one has migrated, said Ministry of Health data on Friday. The cases saw a jump by 1007 and 23 deaths were reported in last 24 hours. The recovery rate in India saw its highest spike on Friday with 260 people getting recovered in the last 24 hours.
