Hyderabad: In a horrifying incident, a luxury bus caught fire in Telangana, apparently due to a short circuit.

More than 30 passengers travelling in the bus of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) had a narrow escape.

The incident took place near Alair in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.

Telangana Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy has ordered an inquiry into the incident, an official release said here.

The bus of Warangal-1 depot was on its way to Hyderabad when it was gutted in the fire near Alair, it said.

The minister directed senior RTC officials to submit a detailed report of the incident and asked them to ensure that such incidents do not re-occur, the release added.
